VIN and factory brakes

Confirm chassis number, existing rotor/caliper package, OEM references and axle requirement.

Wheel clearance

Check barrel diameter, spoke profile and clearance around the full caliper and rotor assembly.

Factory-caliper compatibility

Confirm the pad shape, caliper part number and complete mounting relationship before release.

Professional installation

Complete torque, fluid, leak, bedding and final road-safety procedures with a qualified technician.

How OWNSILENT manufactures C/SiC rotors

Inside the carbon-ceramic production process

These production references document OWNSILENT's general carbon-ceramic manufacturing process — carbon-fibre preparation, preform production and precision machining. They are reference production photography and are not specific to this vehicle.

Stacked carbon ring preforms

The wide frame communicates production scale and shows repeated preform geometry before later material conversion or machining stages.

Carbon preform fibre texture

The close-up reveals the visible interlaced texture and layered edge construction without making an unsupported material-state claim.

Large cylindrical preform forms

Their scale and consistent geometry are visible in this wide factory image, though their exact downstream use needs confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

P1 carbon-ceramic replacement, explained

Why does a factory P1 rotor need replacing?+

Factory carbon-ceramic friction rings wear down with track and road use, and can crack from curb strikes or extreme heat cycling. Once worn below the minimum thickness or visibly cracked, replacement is required rather than resurfacing.

How does OWNSILENT's replacement compare to an OEM P1 rotor?+

As a low-volume hypercar, OEM P1 brake components carry very high prices and long lead times when available at all. OWNSILENT manufactures a VIN-matched aftermarket C/SiC replacement engineered to the same factory caliper geometry, at a lower reference cost confirmed after vehicle verification.

Can the factory carbon-ceramic calipers be retained?+

Yes, in the applications OWNSILENT supports the replacement rotor is engineered around the verified factory caliper. Its part number, mounting geometry, pad shape and condition must agree with the approved specification before production is confirmed.

Is every P1 identical?+

Rotor diameter, thickness, offset, hat depth and caliper clearance are confirmed against the individual chassis rather than assumed from the model name, since running changes exist across the production run.

What information should I send for a quotation?+

Send the VIN, chassis number, wheel size, clear photographs of the current rotors and calipers, and any OEM part numbers visible on the components.

Who should install the replacement?+

Installation, torque procedures, brake-fluid checks, bedding and final road-safety inspection must be completed by a qualified technician experienced with hypercar carbon-ceramic systems.
